Chaand Chhupa Baadal Mein, Director's Kut's third ambitious project on STAR Plus launched on 28th June 2010 is completely different from their other shows.

After the success of Bidaai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, a lot of expectations were on Chaand Chupa Baadal Mein to do well. The first episode opened up with a quick narration from renowned lyricist and writer, Javed Akhtar. Voiceovers may not be a new phenomena in television shows, but a personal narration from an established personality from the entertainment industry definitely adds up to the freshness and value of the show.

The lead character Nivedita who is very shy but at the same loves her family especially her brother and her grandmother. She is also close to her grandmother. The loving and caring relationship between grandmother and granddaughter have really depicted very well.Audiences can relate to them. Then Nivedita’s relation with Divya, her cousin is also fun to watch. The actress Neha Sargam looks very promising and can give tough competition to other famous television actresses like Hina Khan,Archana Lokhande and others. One can also expect some enjoyable moments from the young at heart grandmother played by Sarita Joshi who was last seen in Baa ,Bahu Aur Baby.

The male lead Abhishek Tiwari also has a lot of potential to do well. He also looks good onscreen. Siddharth male lead is very rich looking and definitely he is gathering lots of adulation from the female fans.He is like dream man to every girl.Siddharth is very fun loving guy who loves his childhood friends Putul aka Nivedita. He is very close to his mother.

The shows concept depicts the story of shy and caring girl Nivedita from Shimla which also explores Nivedita’s middle-class world & dreams. It’s the journey of a motherless, young girl in Shimla, who delicately balances the role of playing mother of the house while being painfully shy in interacting with strangers & outsiders. It’s also the story of the great Indian middle-class struggle to grow big with the emerging economy.

Rajan Sir is known for creating characters and here also he has being successful in creating characters like Nivedita and Siddharth. The show has a different touch, which is a plus point.

The most credible aspect of the serial seems to be the Shimla backdrop and a simple presentation without much special effect which adds the positive points to the show. This two months old show in the near future has lot in the store.

So stay tuned to love story of Nivedita and Siddharth every Monday to Friday at 8 pm only on STAR Plus.
